Eddie Wang obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree magna cum laude at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, majoring in economic law. Eddie is now a member of Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as a PRC Registered Tax Attorney.

Eddie started his professional career in Arthur Andersen and subsequently joined PwC. During his years in Andersen and PwC, Eddie has built up knowledge with respect to PRC tax, customs and legal systems. Eddie has extensive experience in advising multinational companies to formulate investment strategies in China. Eddie has directed studies that have involved restructuring of Chinese operation and establishment of appropriate cross-board transaction vehicles in China. Eddie has worked with companies with a wide range of industries including automobile, financing, software development, semi-conductor, telecommunication, transportation, chemistry, pharmaceutics, water treatments, real estate, trading, agriculture and other general manufacturing.

With his professional experience, Eddie provides corporate tax planning and customs consultation to companies at both the pre-investment and operational stage and assists foreign investors to obtain tax preferences and to assure legal and customs compliance wherever possible.

Eddie has also been advising and providing deal supports to various investors in expanding their Chinese operations.

In addition to corporate tax planning, Eddie also has extensive experience in assisting individuals, expatriates and Chinese nationals, to design and implement tax efficient packages to minimize Individual Income Tax in China. 

The major clients Eddie served including General Motors, GMAC, General Electric, Bosch, Boeing, Mitsubishi, Alcatel, Dell, Sharp, DSM, Norvatis, Yum, Ondeo, Metro, NBC Universal etc..

On top of business engagements, Eddie has worked with the Shanghai Municipal Government in the planning and implementation of the International Procurement Center and Regional Headquarter projects of Shanghai.

Eddie has authored and published articles in various international professional periodicals.
